Eraqus stared out at the city beneath him. The clock tower commanded an excellent view of things he had noted, but he had not come for the view. He was waiting on someone to meet him up here for a rather serious talk that was best done in privacy and this place he had decided was the safest and best bet when it came to being able to discuss things without running into the possibility that the conversation would be overheard by an outside party. If they did gain company, at least they would see or hear any one who might wander into earshot.

When he had asked the woman who had claimed friendship with Aqua about how she had been doing here, he had truly not expected the answers he had received. Perhaps a few of the things he had heard were understandable, but others... well, he had decided to have a few words with Aqua about them. She might be a woman grown now and no longer his student, but that didn't mean he would simply cease teaching her if he saw there was a lesson that needed to be taught and learned still.

"I appreciate the sentiment, but you need to stay mindful of your surroundings and how your actions might affect them." Had he not already learned her other misdeeds before now, he might have been inclined to be a little less severe about this one. Though when compared to those other things, this small infraction did pale in importance.

"The reason I called you here is that I wanted to talk to you about a few incidents I've heard about involving you."

Incidents? What incidents? Thinking back, she couldn't think of anything she'd gotten involved in recently except the threat to seal the police station. And she admitted that was petty. There wasn't anything else she could think of.

"What incidents do you mean, Master?"

"Putting your health at such risk due to focusing too much on the protection of others for one. While I will commend you for your desire and effort in seeking to defend others, if you render yourself ill or worse in the process, it serves no one but the enemy you are fighting."

He was still appalled to have heard that she had actually died once here. To be honest, he didn't truly understand how it was possible for someone to die and yet return to the living as if the death had not occurred, but for now he was simply relieved that it hadn't been permanent.

"That..." Oh Light, how had he even heard about that? It happened more than a year and a half ago, nobody was left to remember but- Elena. Elena had ratted her out. Her best friend had told her Master the things she had done.

Her ears were burning in embarrassment and a little bit of shame. This reunion wasn't supposed to be like this. She'd worked hard the past few years to keep this city and her friends safe. Sometimes things like that happened. And hadn't she heard enough from Christine and Conan and Janice when it had happened.

"I've only ever done what I thought best for the sake of the city residents."

He gave her an understanding look and a soft sigh escaped.

"I know...but how do you think they would feel if they knew how you put yourself at risk for them? I am not telling you that you should not seek to protect these people when the need arises. I am saying that you should not work yourself so hard that it ends up hurting you as a result. Not only do they lose you as a protector when that happens but they then have to worry over your health as well as the task of defending themselves."

She always thought about that now. It was one of the things she tried to consider whenever something happened but that didn't change her opinion that protecting everyone else was more important than herself. It was how she got herself trapped in the Realm of Darkness.

"It's been a long time since I've put myself in that kind of danger..."
