CHARACTERName: Master Eraqus
Canon: Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep
Age: Unknown; but perhaps around his 50's
Timeline: Post-'death' / After getting back-stabbed by Xehanort
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: N/A
Personality: Eraqus is very much of the Lawful Good persuasion. He believes very strongly in the power of light and order. He sees all forms of darkness as harmful to the good of the world, thus believes that darkness is something to be avoided or outright destroyed when/if encountered. He can't grasp the idea of using darkness for peoples' benefit, since to him, just having it within you is far too dangerous. He has little tolerance for those with evil agendas...if he can't dissuade them to turn to good with reason, he is not afraid to use brute force, and he is very good at using force.
Eraqus is very focused on the greater good and thus the welfare of the universe as a whole. He considers the needs of many before his own needs, and sometimes to the detriment of his own self. He is completely willing to sacrifice things he holds very dear for the greater good, even if that requires him to sacrifice the people he loves most of all. Doing it pains him immensely, but he'll still do it if he believes he must.
Despite his gruff and stern exterior, and his intolerance for all things darkness-related, Eraqus is kind and is fiercely protective of his apprentices. He loves his students as if they were his own children, caring for them and wanting them to succeed in their Keyblade training. He wants desperately for Terra to achieve his Mark of Mastery, considering him to be like his own son, but is fearful of the darkness that he sees within him.
In general, he is quite trusting of others. Even though he is outspoken about his hatred of darkness in others, he is forgiving and willing to give friends a second chance.
Background: "Remember, there are no winners―only truths, for when equal powers clash, their nature is revealed." Abilities: - Keyblade
The main power of the Keyblade is the ability to seal or open the barriers between worlds, as well as to 'lock' a world's Keyhole, preventing the Heartless from attacking that world's heart. As an offset of this ability, the Keyblade can also be used to lock or unlock any lock, allowing the user to access any sealed interior, whether it be a locked room, gate, or treasure chest. The Keyblade opens and shuts locks by emitting a bright, thin beam of light; this can also be used as an attack against certain enemies. In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, the Keyblade is shown to have the ability to turn into a vehicle and be used to travel with. Due to his status he is able to bestow a Keyblade to another potential wielder through the Inheritance Ceremony.

Eraqus's armor-
Fail Empathy
Possibly due to his possession of a Keyblade, Eraqus is sensitive to the nature of others' hearts, mostly letting him know if they lean toward the Light or work with the Darkness. Eraqus seems to be rather talented in this, or would be if he didn't allow his own bias against the Darkness to color everything to black and white, with little to no allowance for greys in between. This absoluteness can and does land him into false conclusions about people. (i.e. Believing that Xehanort had a change of heart/repented)
- Physical prowess
In spite of his age, he is in considerably fit condition and is still quite fast, and possesses a good deal of endurance.
- Magic
Eraqus likely knows all forms of elemental spells and how to utilize them since it was he who taught his students how to use them, however he tends to only use Light and Fire based attacks in actual combat. This also goes for other attacks, both performed with the keyblade and without it. He knows the majority of the moves his students know and use due to having been the one to teach them the use of it. He does have his own set of moves he uses when in combat, but can and will sometimes pull out one of his students moves to use.
